Sarah is a transactional attorney with a focus on intellectual property.

Prior to joining Hoban, Sarah founded her own cannabis centric law firm, Gersten Saltman, PLLC, focusing on serving cannabis start-up and technology companies.

Before entering the cannabis industry, Sarah worked at the US Copyright Office where she focused on legislative policy, regulations, and international trade policies involving intellectual property.

Before that she was an associate at K&L Gates where she assisted public and private companies in initial and secondary public offerings, and advised companies on issues of formation, operation, and general corporate matters.

Sarah also serves as Executive Director and General Counsel for the Last Prisoner Project, a non profit dedicated to repairing the past and continuing harms of the criminalization of cannabis through restorative justice efforts. Sarah is a graduate of Tulane University and Harvard Law School.

She is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and the District of Columbia.
