Karen Dainty was born and raised in California in a military family. A transfer to the Pentagon took her family to the East Coast when she was in high school. Mrs. Dainty’s first job was with a small patent law firm a couple of blocks from the Patent Office where she began learning patent law from the ground up.
Mrs. Dainty comes to the firm with more than 30 years of experience in the field of Intellectual Property, both prosecution of patents and trademarks (foreign and domestic) as well as complex patent litigation cases. Mrs. Dainty has worked in both large intellectual property firms (Merchant & Gould; Fish & Richardson) and in-house corporations (Medtronic and Teva Pharmaceuticals). Mrs. Dainty has a certificate in Advanced Paralegal Studies and in Electronic Discovery.
In her free time, Mrs. Dainty is out on her 30-acre farm in Texas where she and her husband raise and show Gypsy Vanner horses, breeds ‘doodles’ and raises cattle.
