Christopher Danch earned a B.S. in Business Administration from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, and his J.D. from California Western School of Law.
Chris has a broad, diverse background of law, business, education, and environmental and community service. He has over 39 years of legal experience including the areas of strategic legal planning and consultation, business law (litigation, transactional, organizational development, and reorganization), nonprofit organizations, environmental, agriculture and natural resource management, international law, construction and real estate/land use. Chris has significant experience in project and management, with considerable experience in construction law. Chris’ practice areas with the Hoban Law Group include Corporate Counsel/Securities, Business/Commercial Transactions, Real Estate/Land Use, and Environmental Law. With many years of direct litigation experience at both the federal and state level, with jury and non-jury trials, judicial and non-judicial arbitration, administrative proceedings, mediation, and appeals, combined with decades of business experience, Chris is well-positioned to support the internal legal requirements of any organization, wisely manage risk, and be an effective member of a legal or executive management team.
In 2003 Chris co-founded a company Eco Ranchos, Inc., dedicated to the large-scale commercial development of complex agricultural systems (agroforestry and intercropping systems) in the context of sustainable community development and reforestation projects utilizing the principles of landscape ecology and permaculture. Chris has over a decade of experience with renewable energy systems, both as counsel and in project development, with an emphasis on thermal conversion technologies, including pyrolysis, gasification, biomass-to-energy (CHP), and waste-to-energy systems. He has participated as a member of a consulting team focusing on almost every aspect of renewable energy but with a focus on solar, wind, biomass, and hydrogen.
